HOURS WINTER AND SUMMER

Hola Vecinos ,

Starting tomorrow in the morning go to summer time it is advancing clocks an hour this with the goal of saving more energy.

Since 1996 Mexico has been practised in the change of schedule. The first Sunday in April and the last Sunday in October at 2h00 in the morning is the change of schedule. By 2008 Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, April 6 and ends on Sunday, October 26.

At the time taken between the first Sunday in April and last Sunday in October is called daylight saving time, while the schedule for the remainder of the year is called Winter Schedule. The setting of a time that is done in the clocks to move from one time to another occurs exactly 2h00 in the morning (this time is the time that is left) on Sunday in question. The change in schedule is made at this time to minimize potential adverse effects on society in general the effect of adjusting the clocks. In the United Mexican States changing schedule is done primarily in the Central time zone, one hour after making the change of schedule in the Pacific area, and an hour later is the change of schedule in the Northwest area .

The Worlds Number One Retirement Destination

Looking for the Best Place in the World to Retire?
Jim Scherrer - PVNN

Retirees, not young adventurers, are the largest and latest group to migrate to this fabled country in droves.
With International Living's Annual Global Retirement Index ranking Mexico as the world's top retirement haven and Conde Nast naming Vallarta the world's friendliest resort, it's no wonder that so many retirees have migrated to Puerto Vallarta.

During the past 15 years, International Living magazine has calculated its Annual Global Retirement Index; a resource intended to assist retirees and future retirees in evaluating and comparing the world's most popular retirement destinations. It is based on a number of criteria, giving various weights to each, depending on its importance to retirees. Listed below are those criteria considered with their individual weighting:

Mexican Authorities Up Beach Warning to code red

Crystal clear skies and soft tropical breezes belied the increasing concern of Mexican authorities as a unrelenting surge of high waves and dangerous riptides continued to assail the west coast States of this North American Republic.
In Alcapulco; high waves breeched sea walls, flowing down seaside streets and alleyways. In Puerto Vallarta, small boats were smashed, beached, or broken against stone breakwaters. In Mazatlan, Sinaloa, massive waves reaching more than 3 meters have been pounding the resort town nonstop since April 9. The Secretary of public security, Ernesto Cebreros Murillo, issued an alert to all owners and captains of small boats plying the waters of Sinaloa. "We are asking all captains with home harbors in the State of Sinaloa to abstain from putting out to sea," he said.

While visiting Gary S. up at his place on the hill directly across from the PdB entrance we decided it would be cool to put a webcam on top of his house. The shelton pad is pretty darn cool in itself. We can all watch huricanes roll by PdB from putors all over the world. Better yet, we can see the progress of the developer next door. Note the recent strip mining technique used in the lower hectare's below. Click on Picture then "view original" for closeup..Would you check out a webcam on the pdb site if you could? Let us know ..
Travel to Mexico from US about to change

Here are some pertinent excerpts from an article in USA Today:

...the U.S. government is on the verge of implementing security-inspired changes to passports that will affect millions of international travelers.

On Jan. 23, air travelers to and from Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean will for the first time need a passport to cross the U.S. border. Starting in the spring, all U.S citizens applying for a passport will get an electronic version that's embedded with a "smart" chip designed to thwart forgery.
...
Many people heading to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean now travel with just a driver's license for identification. Under the new rule, U.S. citizens traveling by air need a passport. Though a driver's license will no longer suffice, the government does leave some wiggle room. The Nexus Air card, issued under a USA-Canada cooperative program to prescreened travelers, is acceptable. The passport rule will apply to land and sea travelers no later than June 1, 2009.
